What do they do?

This Team provide vision, direction and leadership within Care in Hand. They set strategic objectives, operational policy, financial viability, organisational stability, legal compliance, staffing structures and management. They work in partnership, monitor and respond to internal development and external policy agendas, reports, research and facilitate change.

Darren Umanee

About: Experience and qualifications. Middle aged with over 25 years experience as a qualified general and mental health nurse. Over 30 years experience working in the private care home and domiciliary sector. Management qualification.

Fun fact/ favourite pastime: like to keep fit and enjoy taking part in most sports. 

Delan Umanee

About: Experience and Qualifications: middleaged with 15 years’ experience in domiciliary care, business / finance degree, accounting and management qualification

Amanda Stocker

About: Experience and Qualifications: I started working for Care in hand in 2012 as a carer and worked my way up through the company. During this time, I completed my level 3 and level 5 health and social care QCF to enable me to become a manager. 

Fun Fact/Favourite Pastime: I was a late starter and attended university at the age of 36 obtaining a joint honours degree in Social Inclusion and Education Studies. Lesson learnt it is never too late!!

Llinos Jones

About: I have been with Care in Hand for 9 years this year, having started as a carer in August 2014 and becoming a member of the office team in 2015. I have completed two qualifications and have worked in most of the departments in the company and am now enjoying my role as Operational Support.

Favourite past time: spending time with my two wonderful sons

Nicola Edge

About: Experience and Qualifications: Nicola has worked for Care in Hand since 2012. Since 2015 Nicola has been working within the finance department and is responsible for overseeing the finance department including payroll. Nicola has worked for both local authority & NHS before working with Care in Hand in various roles.

Charlotte Thomas

About you, Experience and Qualifications: I started working with Care in Hand as a carer in 2010 at 18 years old, working my way up through the company. I have been in various roles during this time and I have achieved my Level 2 NVQ in Health and social care, QCF 3 & 5 in Health and social care during this. I progressed to my current role in Commissioning in 2016.

Fun Fact/Favourite Pastime: I enjoy spending time with family, walks and I feel very fortunate to live in such a wonderful part of the world that is Pembrokeshire!

Hayley Chinsammy

About:

Hayley, who was born in London and educated locally in Tenby, Pembrokeshire has been part of the Care In Hand team since 2010. Previously working in graphic design and PR Hayley joined our domiciliary team with no previous care experience. After completing all mandatory training and attending a full induction she was happy to start work. Since then she has progressed through the company working in a variety of departments from live-in care, on call monitoring and team leader. Hayley also completed her level 2 & 3 QCF diploma HASC during her first 2 years as a domiciliary carer.

 

Currently as Care in Hand’s Commissions and PR assistant, Hayley liaises across departments for company pr and works closely with the commission’s manager overseeing new contracts and updating existing ones.

 

Hayley has worked closely with clients when she was caring and knows what it takes to achieve a high standard of care having worked her way up through the company has enabled her to get a good understanding of many working parts to our machine.

 

Hayley is very practical and does not hesitate to take the lead in a situation and has provided excellent shadowing training taking many new comers under her wing in the past.

 

Fun Fact/Favourite Pastime: Hayley enjoys travel, and spending time with her famuily.

Jessica Dando

About:

Jess is a dynamic marketing and technology consultant with a strong background in IT, digital marketing, and public relations. Fun Fact/Favourite Pastime: Jess is a singer in her spare time, working in a duo with a guitarist and in a five piece band. She also enjoys filmmaking and photography, using the latest AI technology to make short films, trailers and spec ads. Fun fact is that she does an Amy Winehouse tribute act.

Margaret Lewis

About me – Margaret Lewis is a dedicated Wellbeing Coach with a deep passion for helping individuals achieve balance, vitality, and fulfilment in their lives. With over a decade of experience in the health and wellness industry, Margaret specialises in guiding clients through personalised wellness plans that address physical, mental, and emotional health. Blending evidence-based practices with empathetic support, she empowers her clients to make sustainable lifestyle changes that promote overall wellbeing.

I holds certifications in Psychology, Life Coaching, Counselling and Mindfulness, and am well-rounded and able to provide a knowledgeable guide for anyone seeking to enhance their quality of life.

What I enjoy – Outside of coaching, I enjoys practicing mindfulness, spending time with family and friends, travel and continuously learning about the latest advancements in holistic health.

Paul Clayton

About: Experience and Qualifications: I was born and grew up in Pembrokeshire, I studied Law in Swansea and graduated from Swansea University with a 2:1 LLB degree in Law, since graduating I have had my Little girl Piper and have settled in Pembrokeshire with my partner and 3 sausage dogs. I have experience in Law, Sales, Management & Customer services.

Fun Fact/Favourite Pastime: I am a keen Golfer with a Handicap of 5 and was selected for the Welsh U18s Elite Squad.
