Front Line Care Management Team

What do they do?

This team implement day to day operational procedures, working directly with people who need care and carers, individual care and service delivery, they ensure legal compliance is implemented and best practice is achieved daily. They support a dispersed workforce, identify training needs partnership working with district nurses, physiotherapists, OT, Hospital discharge coordinators and family carers. The team is resultfocused contributing to informing the direction of the organisation and manage change, and cover out of hours requirements. This team is responsible for all scheduling of care provision.  Meet some of the team below.

Call Monitoring Team

What do they do?

Our Call Monitoring Team monitor our provision of service each day. Their role consists of ensuring that all visits are attended within acceptable timescales. They support the front-line care staff during their shifts. Provide guidance where necessary and escalate any concerns to Senior Field Supervisors each shift. They are responsible for completing a handover at the end of each shift to the Care Management Team in regards to the performance of that shift. They are the front-line communicators with our Service users in regards to their care provision and carers.  

Our Call Monitoring team are responsible for covering all provision of service during their allocated shifts.

About: I started with care in hand in 2014 as a carer, I have worked my way up through the ranks of care in hand and various job roles like Call monitor, field supervisor, senior supervisor and now compliance officer. I have completed my level 3 and 5 QCF in health and social care.  

 

Fun Fact/Favourite Pastime: I was born and bred in the Orkney islands, I packed my bags and moved to wales 39 years ago, I have adopted a little cat called Princess Callie. I have 4 beautiful grandchildren who all live in Scotland. I look forward to when they visit me here in wales.

About: Experience and Qualifications: I started care in hand Jan 2016 as a casual carer, I have worked my way up in the company and I am now currently in the senior field supervisor position overseeing the Milford haven and Haverfordwest teams. I have completed my level 3 QCF and currently working towards my level 5. 

Fun Fact/Favourite Pastime: I enjoy travelling and I have visited many countries. My aim in life is to travel the world and experience all different cultures and their way of living… reality check I need to start doing the lottery.

Samual Merayo

About: I started working for Care in Hand in 2017 as a community carer. I then became a Field Supervisor and I am now the Senior in the North. I have completed my level 3 QCF in health and social care and will soon start working towards my level 4 and 5. 

Fun fact: I was born in Spain where I lived until I came to Wales. All my family members are still in Spain and I go to visit as much as I can. I like playing video games and spending time with my cats when I am not visiting the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast towns.

Shelley Arthur

About: I started with care in hand in 2021, I have 12 years’ experience working with ALN and have 6 years’ experience within SLS.  I have completed my level 3 in health and social care and will be starting my level 4 in the near future.

Fun Fact/Favourite Pastime: I am passionate about cold water swimming and swim all year round on our beautiful beaches here in Pembrokeshire.
