Margaret Lewis

About: Mother of 5 beautiful adult children and 4 even more beautiful grandchildren, so my life is very full and bountiful.

As survivor of an abusive childhood, I found my coach, and counsellor in God. My belief taught me that if God accepted me for who I am, then I am worthful and not worthless.

My Coach and mentor taught me that there is always more than one side to a story, and that forgiveness is for yourself and not for others.

As a child I found books to be my safe place. I could hide myself away for hours and immerse myself in the story. In Adulthood my love of books continued but the book genre changed from romance to spirituality and metaphysics, specifically chakra’s, aura’s, reiki, meditation, counselling, and coaching.

My curiosity in our metaphysical world guided me to study and learn more.

So, I studied and learnt about the world that I believe we live in, and I gained qualifications that gives me the skills to help other in whatever capacity needed.

Certification in Counselling Theory

Life Coach Diploma

Experience

My first job was as a nursing auxiliary for the NHS. I gained experiences in different roles, from orthopedics to nursing homes. I have also worked in other jobs, as a waitress, or customer assistant to name a couple, but, working directly with people in a caring capacity, is the most rewarding. It is not always easy and when dealing with humans and the unknown should always be expected, but also knowing that someone has put their loved one’s wellbeing in your hands is also great privilege.

I first practiced as a Life Coach & NLP Practitioner in Waterford Ireland. It was there that I began using a combination of both counselling and coaching skills to facilitate change my clients wanted.

My understanding of the mind and its ability to hide traumatic experiences to help protect itself, allowed me to help my clients to see beyond their actions and to guide them towards finding the other self they desired to be. As my practice began to establish itself, my family returned to the UK. And within a year of our return friends and I set up The Life Focus & Therapy Centre, to practice from and to also provide a space for therapist to practice.

I left the business after 2 years to focus on raising my children, and to commence a new journey overseas and on my return moved to Wales to give support to my daughter and her partner.

Which brings me full circle to where I am now as both a Carer and a Coach.

Coaching

That was an insight to my story, and this is what I aim to offer you as your wellbeing coach.

A partnering relationship to help you become and achieve a desired outcome. It is a creative process that empowers and inspires you to make choices and take action that will serve your goal. I will not give advice but, instead, asks powerful questions, makes observations, and offer assessments to help unlock and amplify your awareness and commitment.

Coaching requires mutual trust, respect, commitment, and clear expectations, often spans a short period, typically lasting from three to twelve months.

Coaching follows a more regular and structured approach. When coaching my only objective will be to help you reach your goals. As your coach I will have no attachment to a specific outcome; that must come from your own motivations, or it is pointless from the start.

Coaches listen deeply and ask powerful questions, noticing, in the present moment, what comes up when the client considers those questions. Clients consistently do a superb job in identifying what is really going on, and they figure out what must happen to achieve their goals. Within the safety of a successful coaching relationship, people evolve, make significant discoveries, and shift mind-sets as they are invited to tap into their own well of wisdom.
