The Employee Handbook is your one stop shop guide containing everything from our policy on Pets in a service users home to COSHH, accident reporting and resuscitation policy.
Please ensure you read these documents and stay up to date with company policies and procedures as they are in place to protect everyone, not just our clients but also you as care staff.
If you are using your mobile you will need to view the full site version however we recommend that you use a full size PC until the app has been updated to accommodate viewing the handbook on a mobile or tablet with a small screen.
Activ Absence Management
So what is Activ Absence Management? Activ Absence is what we use to track and record annual leave requests and unplanned time off work due to sickness and other general absences.
As an employee you will have your own account and you can:
• Manage your own holiday requests
• Access your account at any time and on any device
• Support your return to work process following sickness or unplanned absence from work
• See your own Bradford Score

What is the Handbook?
In short it’s where you’ll find all company policies and procedures that apply to the type of work you will be doing. You can refer to these at anytime to ensure that your practice is inline with legal and company regulations. Find out more about your Employee Handbook in the section above.
How does it record my absence?
When you contact the office via telephone to let us know that you are not able to attend a scheduled shift your senior or call monitor will then add this to your account so that we can then track and record all of the details relating to your unplanned absence. We need to do this to evidence that we are supporting our staff and acting fairly. We also use this to ensure that we are not allocating shifts to you if you are unwell or absent at the time of new rotas being completed.
What is a return to work interview?
Following your absence from work, again we are required to carry out what is called a “return to work interview” to ensure that we are supporting you to return to your normal duties and we take note of any help that you might need to do so.
